FAQ

WHY KC A CAPPELLA?

Because there’s nothing else like it in Kansas City! Members of the group meet, learn and perform with high school students outside their current high school community and perform music outside the typical high school repertoire including original compositions by our in-house composer/arranger. Additionally, members collaborate on programming, song selection, basic arranging and many other aspects pertaining to the overall success of the group as well as be given the creative opportunity to perform and compete outside the standard high school choral environment.

WHO CAN BE IN KC A CAPPELLA?

Kansas City A Cappella is an educational experience for High School students in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. We are open to all students from 9th-12th Grade.

DOES IT COST ANYTHING?

Yes. All members of KC A Cappella pay a small tuition that covers personalized arrangements for the group as well as administrative costs for the organization. The tuition for each concert season is around $40 a month for a total of ten months. Payment plans are available for those that need it.

 WHERE DOES SOUNDPROOF PERFORM?

SoundProof performs all over KC and are always looking for performance opportunities! In addition to local performances SoundProof competes in the International Championship of High School A Cappella competition each year and performs a formal concert in late Spring.
